| Daniel Cheek is a photographic artist currently residing in Tucson, Arizona. Daniel was born in Detroit, Michigan, grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1999 to obtain his BFA from The Academy of Art. Daniel worked for 7 years as Rights and Reproductions Manager at Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco. He recently moved his wife and son to Tucson to pursue his MFA in Photography at the University of Arizona. He works primarily with an 8x10 inch camera to photograph the disconnect between people and the natural world. He has exhibited at the Gregory Lind Gallery in San Francisco, Cara Cabezas Contemporary in Kansas City, Missouri, Jen Bekman Gallery, New York, and The Nevada Museum of Art, among many others. |
